Kristin Erica Adams

Age 38 passed away peacefully at her home in Montevallo, AL on  Friday, February  1, 2019. Kristin was first diagnosed with glioblastoma, an incurable form of brain cancer, on September  12, 2017, and she was not expected to survive the emergency surgery performed later the next day. Due to her indomitable will, her unconquerable faith in God, and the prayers without number that were said on her behalf, Kristin lived another 507 days, an accomplishment of which she was justifiably proud.

Kristin was born in Simpsonville, Greenville County, SC.  Kristin worked as an interior designer and in more recent years as an elementary school teacher.

Kristin was much beloved by her family, her young students, and her many friends. She had a good word to say about everyone she knew, and she derived great pleasure in bringing happiness to others. She had a rare and gentle spirit and a truly kind and generous soul.

Kristin is survived by her husband, Charles Daniel Adams, and her two children, Charles (13) and Emie (10) Adams, of Montevallo, AL; a paternal grandmother, Wanda Marie Williams, of AZ; and her parents, John and Marilyn Williams, of Montevallo, AL. She is also survived by three brothers: Matt Williams of Fountain Inn, SC, Scott Williams of Jackson, MS, and Kyle Williams of Nashville, TN as well as numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

The family would like to thank the staff of Affinity Hospice for the many kindnesses that were shown to them and to Kristin while she was in hospice care. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 Thursday,  February 7, 2019 at Charter Funeral Home, Calera, AL.  A memorial service will take place at First United Methodist Church, Montevallo, AL at 2:00 pm Friday, February  8, 2019.
