With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Morris “Butch” Eldred Horton, Jr. of Alabaster, Alabama, who passed away on October 14, 2020, at the age of 65. We will celebrate his life on Saturday, October 17th at 11am at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Jemison, AL. Butch is preceded in death by his father and mother Morris and Betty Horton of Jemison, AL. Butch is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Janice Horton, three children; Heather French of Decatur, AL, Jeffery Horton of Alabaster, AL, and Barry Horton of Calera, AL, one brother; Jack Horton of Hanceville, AL, one son-in-law; Wesley French of Decatur, one daughter-in-law; Brindy Horton of Calera AL, one sister-in-law; Renae Carden of Hanceville, AL, and four grandchildren; Collier French, Henry French, Rosie French, and Toby French.
