John Steven Thomas

March 24, 1954 – May 29, 2021

“Steve” graduated Susan Moore High School and Gadsden Technology College in the mid 70’s. He traveled the world installing communication systems. After retiring, he enjoyed working in his gardens, tending to his chickens, and Trade Days at Tannehill State Park as a vendor. He was an avid Alabama fan, “Roll Tide Roll!” He is preceded in death by parents, Evelyn and Oswald Thomas of Snead, Alabama. Steve is survived by stepmother, Suzanne Thomas of Snead; sisters, Sandra Harris (Denver) and Leighann Farris (Billy); brother, Daryl Thomas, all residing in the Lay Lake area; aunts, Imogene Plesala of Albertville and Betty Alexander of Blountsville. He was loved by several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be a memorial service at a later date to celebrate Steve’s life.
