Clarence Monroe Martin, Jr.
Clarence Monroe Martin, Jr. of Maylene passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022. He was 83 years old. Mr. Martin was born March 6, 1938. Mr. Martin was a veteran having served in the army for 26 years. He retired with honors as a master sergeant and truly loved the military. His hobbies included working on cars and restoring mustangs. He loved to play golf with Steve and Tricia and watching Alabama football but most of all loved his family.
He is survived by his son, Steve M. Martin (Teresa) of Alabaster; daughter, Tricia Martin of Birmingham; five grandchildren, Hollie Martin of Los Angeles, CA; Daniel Martin of Alabaster (parents Steve and Teresa); Tyler Hussey, Derek Hussey, Josh Hussey (parents Greg and Robin Hussey) all of Alabaster; beloved fur baby Teddy; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Graciela V. Martin of 44 years; daughter Diana E. Hussey; sister, Christine Ayers; and brother Jimmy Martin. A graveside service for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022, 1:15pm at the Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo with military honors. Charter Funeral Home, Calera is directing and Donnie Sisk officiating.
