Carl Eugene Sexton
Carl Eugene Sexton, age 85, of Calera, Al, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022. He was born on July 21, 1936 to his parents John and Verla Sexton, both have preceded him in death. Carl is survived by his loving wife, Jean F. Sexton; sons, Craig Sexton (Lisa) and Patrick Sexton; grandchildren, David Drummond (Lindsey), Christi Koons, and Mason Sexton; great grandchildren, Kaylee Koons, Kyle Koons, Kathryn Drummond, and Parker Drummond; and sister Pauline Bass. Service will be held Friday, June 10, 2022 in the Charter Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held at 10:30 am followed by a service at 11:30 am. Carl will be laid to rest in the Alabama National Cemetery at 1:15 pm.

Dear Jean, Craig, Patrick and family, We are never prepared to let go of someone so dear, especially so unexpectedly. We have to grow to accept God’s Plan. Carl was a Family Man who loved each of you. He came from a family with a strong Christian Mother and Father and brothers and sisters, most of whom, including our own beloved husband/father, Bryce, who was the first to be called Home so many years ago ~ and. most recently, our son/brother, John, are waiting to Welcome Carl to his New Heavenly Home.
