Helen (Jackie) Jones Ingram
Helen (Jackie) Jones Ingram was born in Shelby, AL to Wilmont and Nora Coker Jones. The family moved to the Hueytown, AL area where she graduated from Hueytown High School in 1951. After graduation she worked at the Federal Reserve (for 14 yrs) and married Houston Ingram of Montevallo, AL on July 9, 1960. Jackie and Houston later moved to the Montevallo area and started a family. She was active in her local church, Spring Creek Cumberland Presbyterian, where she was involved with the Cumberland Presbyterian Women’s group as well as Vacation Bible School. Jackie and Houston were also instrumental in the forming of Shelby Academy along with many others in the community.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa Ingram Lively (David), her son Robert David Ingram, sister Gloria Jones Deitz, two granddaughters, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Wilmont and Nora Coker Jones, sister Wilma Jones Bearden, sister Virgina Jones Lollar, sister Brenda Jones Satterfield and brother Charles (Charlie) Jones.
Graveside services will be held Monday, September 14th at 2:00pm in the Spring Creek Cemetery off Spring Creek Road Montevallo, AL. Reverend Scott Fowler will officiate.
