Randy was born on November 10, 1959 and passed from this walk of life on September 18, 2021.
Born and raised in Alabaster, Alabama, and was the oldest of seven children his parents were Hiram “Buddy” Hooten and Linda Hooten. Randy worked as an Iron worker for many years, then went to Trucking driving and traveling the United States. He had a passion for playing and teaching Pool, also had a love for drawing and painting, but most of all he loved his family. Randy was a caring Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Great Uncle.
Randy is preceded in death by his father Hiram Hooten. He is survived by his mother, Linda Hooten; sons, Zack Hooten, Christopher Criswell (Sarina), Jonathan Hooten; daughter, Beth Hooten; grandchildren, Lilly Criswell and Logan Criswell; brothers, Jay Hooten (Melinda), Mark Hooten (Kristi). Nathan Hooten (Darbe), and Nicholas Hooten (Nikki); sisters, Susan Griffin and Amy Mizell (Richard); nephews, Michael Hooten (Samantha), Chase Hooten, Jake Hooten, Andrew Mizell (Samantha), Noah Mizell, Eric Mizell, Konnor Hooten, and Chase Helbing; nieces, Miranda Mitchell (PJ), Brandy Garrison, Belle Griffin, Savannah Griffin, Madison Hooten, Kensley Hooten, Kara Hooten, and Kenna Hooten; great-nephews, Jaxon Garrison, MJ Hooten, Colt Hooten, and Joseph Mitchell; great-niece, Haley Mitchell.
Funeral Services for Randy will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 in the chapel of Charter Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Allen Cemetery on Highway 119. In Lieu of attending his services flowers can be sent to Charter Funeral Home in Calera, Alabama.
