Leighton “Lee” Windham Parrish, age 78, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. Lee is preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Elaine Parrish; father, Verbon Parrish; mother, Estelle Parrish; brothers, Wayne Parrish and Sammy Parrish; sister, Dorothy Taylor. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer White (Phil) and Amy Alvis (Adam); grandchildren, Dustin White (Kristen), Taylor White, Maddie Alvis, and Parrish Alvis; great-grandchild; Landon White; sisters; Bobbie Sullivan, Betty Cooper and Gail Owen (Jerry); a host of nieces, nephews and friends that loved him so much. There will be a Celebration of Life held Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Lutheran Church of Vestavia Hills. A visitation will be held at 10 am, followed by a service at 11 am. Lee will be laid to rest in the Alabama National Cemetery at 2:45 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Lutheran Church of Vestavia Hills (Family Assistance Fund) in his name.

I grew up with the Parrish family. They were my neighbors when I was a little girl. My sister grew up with their children also. I miss Mr Parrish very much.
I cannot believe you are gone, but we are comforted by the fact that there is one big reunion going on up there. You and Lanie will always be so missed, but Heaven win the battle. Rest easy….
