Robert William Aycock, age 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 20, 2022. He was born on January 2, 1944 to his parents Elbert and Ruth Aycock, both have preceded him in death. He is also preceded by his brother, Johnny Aycock and his sister, Linda Samples. He served his country in the US Army, and was a faithful member of the Methodist congregation. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Aycock; Lynne Fayet, who was like a daughter; and Justin Fayet, who was like a son; and a host of nephews and great nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Charter Funeral Home. In lieu of Flowers please donate to the Shelby County Humane Society in Robert’s name, or charity of your choice.
