Sigrid Sue Siegel

Sigrid passed away at home with family on September 12, 2021. Sig was raised in Tiltonsville, OH, the youngest of six children born to parents John and Edna Mullenix. Her father was School Superintendent, and all six children trained as teachers. She graduated from Warren Consolidated High School in 1955 and received her bachelor’s degree in education from The University of Florida. She based her life on love of family and love of teaching. She was a life-long learner, and taught 5K and Gifted classes from Florida to Iowa, from Montana to Maine and from Virginia to Alabama where in 2001 she turned her full-time efforts to being a grandma. She is survived by her daughter, Stacy Siegel (husband, Ashley Hagemeyer); grandchildren, J.T. and Lily Hagemeyer; her brother, Rex Mullinex; her sister, Harriet Lowe; and her “twin sister” niece, Andie Stella; as well as, many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Larry Siegel; her parents and her sisters, Maxine Onweller, Bernadine Jarrett and Eloise Duarte. Many thanks to the Affinity Hospice team who helped Sig on her journey home.
