Larry “Tex” Swaney

 Larry “Tex” Swaney, age 75, of Jemison, AL, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017.  He was predeceased by parents, Numie C. and Elma M. Swaney; 5 brothers and 2 sisters.  He leaves behind his wife of 11 years,  Wanda Davis Swaney; children, Todd Mackay,  Bruce Mackay and Andrea Davenport and their spouses;  brothers, James “Cowboy” Swaney (Judy) and John Swaney (Sue); sisters, Faye Tyndall (Jessie) and Lou “Boots” Perry; 6 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter and 1 great grandchild due in December and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and co-workers that were very special to him from all over the states.  There will be a Commeration honoring his life, May 21, 2017.  It will be held at 8930 Highway 25, Calera, AL, you may arrive any
time after 12:noon.

  3. Uncle Larry was very dear to me and although I didn’t see him as much as I liked in recent years, I will always treasure my childhood memories and the way he always made me feel special. My thoughts and prayers are with family and friends who will all miss him dearly.
