November 20, 1966 ~ June 11, 2018
Allison Leslie Morgan Hartmann, age 51 of Hoover passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018. Allison was a graduate of W. A. Berry High School and went on to study at University of Alabama at Birmingham. Allison spent the formative years of her career at Bellsouth and Accenture working on various projects; she drew strength from collaboration and teamwork, but her co-workers have said it was her personality and her work ethic that made her special. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Alabaster but also enjoyed St. Thomas Episcopal Church. She had a dry, sometimes dark, sense of humor and a deep compassion for animals, people and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Bebe Morgan Abner, father, Robert William Morgan, grandmother, Lois Dimples Turner Williams, grandfather, Joseph Martin Guy Butler, grandfather, and nephew, Joel Stephen Riggan.
Survivors include sister, Karen Morgan Jenkins (David), brother, Robert William Morgan (Michael Shortnacy), niece, Alyssa Jenkins Brown (Jake), nephew, Joel Stephen Jenkins, aunt, Karen Butler Sturgeon, cousin, Leslie Riggan Nix (Michael and sons Henry and Hays), cousin, Paul Robert Riggan (Katie and sons Keller, Sloan, and Stryker), step mother, Peggy Gay Morgan (and step siblings Tabby McCray (Rob), Micque Kramarczyk (Ed), Bo Lathum.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, June 15, 2018 at Alabaster First United Methodist Church (128 Market Center Place, Alabaster, AL) and a gathering at the family’s home to follow.
