Ava Childers age 84, of Montevallo passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 with her family by her side. Ava is preceded by her parents, Fayett Woods & Zolla Madison Woods;  daughters, Linda Dawson and Doris Dawson; Sammy L. Dawson. Ava is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Clifford Childers; son, Kameron Dawson; daughter, Peggy Faggard (Eddie); son, Sandy Dawson (Kelly); son, Johnny Dawson (Linda); daughter, Annette Blackwell Lucas (Kenneth), daughter, Rebecca Dawson; son, Lee Childers (Lynn); son, Scotty Vance (Tammy); daughter, Crystal Newell (James) and numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Woods (Jesse), brother, Roy Woods (Daryl). Services for Ava will be Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. for visitation and a service Monday, July 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Montevallo City Cemetery.
