Charles Frank Bice of Mtn Brook, Alabama passed away Monday November 19, 2018, at the age of 91. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  Born in Fairfield, Alabama Dec 3, 1926 Charles graduated Fairfield High School in 1944 at the age of 17 then enlisted in the Army Air Corp as a cadet and eventually became a Crew Chief for the C47. He attended and played football at Ole Miss, Auburn, and Howard College graduating in 1950 and spent four years as a football coach at Minor High Scholl. From there he worked several different jobs with US Steel and eventually became a sales rep for Plibrico Refractories Company for thirty five years retiring in 1997. In 2014 Charles became a resident of the Robert L Howard VA Nursing home in Pell City, Al. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Doris (Smith) Bice, daughter Rebecca Bice Cleary, son in law Steve Storey, his parents Wade and Ola Bice, sister Terrell Ann Knight, and brother Edward Bice. He is survived by his children, Ellen Bice Storey, Terrell Bice Pfaff, (Ed) and Charles Wade Bice, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at Canterbury UMC Chapel Tuesday November 27th at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Jimmie Hale Mission.
