Debbie Nadine Laws Mosley

Debbie Nadine Laws Mosley

Debbie Nadine Laws Mosley was granted her eternal reward on October 1, 2020, at her home in Helena, Alabama, at 63. She was born on May 26, 1957, to the late Laura Nadine and Robert Lavoyde Laws of Forrest City, Arkansas. She graduated from Forrest City High School in 1975.

She married her late husband, John Mosley, on July 6, 1974, who preceded her in death in 2018. They were married for 44 years. She was a bookkeeper for most of her life.  Debbie loved her family with a fierceness and passion. She loved the Arkansas Razorbacks and was an avid fan. She once waited two hours in 20-degree weather to meet the 1993-1994 Arkansas Razorback Basketball Team. She loved knitting and loved to cross-stitch, a skill taught to her by her mother in law. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she loved Michael Bolton.  Her home was always a welcoming place that never saw a stranger. She will be sorely missed by her family and her many, many friends.

Debbie is survived by her son Matthew Mosley (Hannah) of Pell City, AL; her daughter Amanda Mosley Sloma (Jeff) of Helena, Al; her six grandchildren, JD Mosley, Laura Grace Mosley, Bo Mosley, Lannon Weiss, Avery Weiss, and Olivia Weiss, her brother Randy Laws (Harriet) of Forrest City, AR; a host of nieces and nephews, her cousin Shirley Richardson of Clarksville, AR and her faithful dog Sterling.

She is preceded in death by her husband John Mosley, her mother and father Nadine and Lavoyde Laws, her sister in law and brother in law Bob and Lynda Mosley, and her cousin Ricky Richardson.

The family asks that in place of flowers, monetary donations be made on Debbie’s behalf to the Brandon Burlsworth Foundation of Harrison, Arkansas.
