Jeffrey Darrien Cannady, age 51, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 20, 2022.  He is preceded by his parents, Jimmy and Patricia Cannady. Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Carmen Cannady; daughter, Deavonna Sims (Antawan); furbaby, Cuddles; loving mother-in-law, Carolyn Brasher; brother-in-law, Chuck Amos (Teresa), nephew, Tyler Amos; niece, Alyssa Coley (Christian); and great niece, Hadliegh Coley. Services will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in the Charter Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will begin at 12 pm followed by a service at 1 pm. Jeffrey will be laid to rest in Rock Springs Baptist Cemetery.

  1. I am so sorry for your loss. I had never met Jeff, but spoke with him often on the phone in the course of business. He ran the scale house for Martin Marietta that supplies our company with rock from their quarry. He was always so nice and polite, very helpful. His family and work family are in our thoughts and prayers.

  3. Jeff was a great guy loved by many. In high school he was well rounded and friends from all walks of life. Glad to have known such a nice fellow.

  5. Jeff was a Wonderful guy and had an amazing sweet spirit.
    We attended high school together and he was always gentle, and polite and I’ve never seen him mad.
    May God give his family peace as he rests.
