Jerry House

May 11,1938 Mar 1, 2020

Jerry was born May, 11 1938 to Eugene and Evie House. He was raised in Andalusia, Alabama where he served in the National Guard while underage before enlisting in the Navy. He enjoyed the years he spent in the military. After his military career ended, he went to work for Firestone. Jerry was always a person who needed to keep busy, so upon his retirement from Firestone he opened his own tire business. When he finally retired he spent the last few years caring for his lovely wife Bonnie, who he was absolutely devoted to. He loved Alabama football and could be found every Saturday in the fall in his den cheering on the Tide. He was also known for his ability to tell a story in a manner that kept everyone in stitches. He will be missed by all he touched. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St Judes Children Hospital.

He is survived by his sister Jewel Wayne Curry; son Jeremy Michael House (Beth) their daughter Mary Elizabeth; Daughter Gwendolyn House Robbins, (Dennis) children Sarah Elizabeth Robbins Perkins and Taylor Kyle Robbins (daughter Delilah); Daughter Tami Werner; Nephews Marty Curry, Larry Whitten, Joe Whitten; nieces Jerrilyn Lemley, Mona King, Jeanine Jacobs.

Service will be held at the Alabama National Cemetery Montevallo, AL at 2:00 pm on Thursday March 5th.
