Patricia Thompson Yancy
Patricia Thompson Yancy, age 69 of Alabaster, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018. She is predeceased by her parents, J.B. and Imogene Thompson; her husband, John Steven Yancy; and her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Scott Yancy (Kimberly). She is survived by her sons, Craig Steven Yancy (Debra) of Alabaster, Alabama and Jonathan Chad Yancy (Kathy) of Montevallo, Alabama; granddaughters, Beth Barashes of Alabaster, Alabama, Lauren Yancy of Montevallo, Alabama, Anna Yancy of Alabaster, Alabama, and Sarah Yancy of Montevallo, Alabama; grandsons, Tristian Yancy of Montevallo, Alabama and Scott Yancy of Montevallo, Alabama; and sister, Rene Witkowski of Panama City, Florida. Patricia was a mom to many, as well as a volunteer at Safehouse and at Shelby Emergency Medicine. She spent many years as a youth sponsor at Elliottsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, now First Presbyterian Church of Alabaster. The family would like to give a special thank you to Southeast Hospice, especially, Mila Corder and April Garrett for their love and care. There will be a visitation on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., both held at First Presbyterian of Alabaster. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First Presbyterian of Alabaster.
