Rev. Elizabeth Stansell Conner, age 83, of Helena, AL, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022. She was the oldest daughter of the late Rev. Hobert and Clemmie Stansell. Mrs. Conner always led with a servant’s heart. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Paul S. Mayes, and William L. Conner, Sr.

Her survivors include daughters, Carol Mayes, Marsha Alhaija (Abdulla), Rovene Coy, and Jean Kahn (Joel); sons, Paul Mayes, Christopher Conner (Dawn), and
William L. Conner, Jr. (Lori); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be at Helena United Methodist Church, 11 a.m., Monday, September 19, 2022 with a Funeral Service to follow at 12 noon, at the church. The burial will be in Helena City Cemetery following the services.
