Alice Fischer Schmidt

Alice Schmidt, age 96, passed away on April 9, 2020 at the Fair Haven Retirement Home in Birmingham.  She was born in Adams, Massachusetts, but resided in Trussville, Alabama for about 30 years prior to moving to Fair Haven.  Alice enjoyed being a homemaker and cooking for her family.  She especially enjoyed looking for and experimenting with new recipes.  She also enjoyed many years of bowling on the senior bowling league in Trussville.

Alice is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Beverley and Louis Esola of Millville, NJ; daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Thomas Carmony of Wetumpka, AL; grandson Christopher Carmony; granddaughter and her husband Melissa and Adam Williford and two great-grandchildren Taylor and Asher Williford.  Alice was predeceased by her parents Henry and Martha Fischer; her husband Kenneth W. Schmidt; her brother George Fischer and her sister Irene Fischer.

For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to DAV – Disabled American Veterans.  Alice always enjoyed contributing to this organization.  Due to COVID-19 precautions, no memorial service will be held at this time.
