Hulbert Van Rensselaer Barringer, passed away peacefully at his home in Birmingham, AL, at the age of 83, on June 19, 2019. Van was born on December 8, 1935 in Morristown, NJ. Van was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Van Rensselaer Barringer and Evelyn Hope Barringer.  Van was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  Van is survived by his wife, Susan D. Barringer; children, Barry Grantham, Jennifer LaMoureux (Al Jr.); 5 grandchildren, Nicolas and Allie LaMoureux, Joseph, Clint and Kol (Anha) Grantham; and great granddaughter, Blakeleigh.  Van attended Nottingham Academy, served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.  He was a member of the Church of the Highlands, Grants Mill Campus.  Van was loved by everyone who knew him.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Highlands, Grants Mill Campus.  Inurnment will follow in the Alabama National Cemetery at 2:45p.m.
