Flatland, aged 82 years, retired Professor Emeritus, UAB School of Dentistry, passed away following a long illness on July 3, 2020.  A beloved husband and father, Ragnar is survived by his wife, Irmgard Flatland; daughter, Bente Flatland; son-in-law, James D. Bristow; son, Steinar Flatland; daughter-in-law, Robin Y.
