Edward “Butch” Gottier, age 78 of Calera, AL, the most generous and tenderhearted man who treasured his family and was loyal to Jehovah God, died Thursday, June 9th. Ed Gottier is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Jackie Gottier; mother-in-law Florine Pearson; daughters Lisa Jeffcoat and Gina Gobel; sons-in-law James “Jay” Jeffocat and Alan Gobel; grandchildren Jason Jeffcoat, Morgan and Justin Pate, and Ethan Gobel; brothers Don and Ralph Gottier; sisters Cookie Weas and Adele Meschwitzer, and many other cherished family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 18th, 1:30 p.m., at the Calera High School auditorium located at 100 Calera Eagle Drive, Calera, AL 35040, with Bro. Kenneth Mobley officiating.
